Day 1: Resources for Building Resilience
You’ll learn how neurobiology is designed for survival and how chronic stress and trauma impact the brain, body, and functioning.
You’ll also learn the difference between coping vs. regulation, how regulation expands your window of tolerance, and how that can shift depleting mood states like anxiety and depression.
Day 2: Psychological CPR
Psychological CPR is a form of psychological first aid that can be used in the days and weeks after a crisis, disaster, or other critical incident to reduce distress symptoms.
You’ll learn how Psychological CPR is different from therapy, including the limitations and when to discontinue.
This protocol uses self-tapping (bilateral stimulation) and does not require people to talk through the incident in order to feel relief.

Day 1 objectives
Understand survival-based neurobiology and how trauma/chronic stress impacts functioning.
Differentiate coping vs. regulation and apply regulation to support window of tolerance.
Learn and practice 10 simple interventions to prevent burnout and build well-being.
Day 2 objectives
Define Psychological CPR as psychological first aid (not therapy).
Identify limitations, including when to discontinue protocols and how to support next steps.
Learn and practice a scripted intervention to reduce disturbance after recent critical incidents.
