EMDR Training Registration 2024 Down Payment

This down payment secures your reservation for the retreat. You will receive an email for the next steps to complete your booking.

Please note due to the complexity of planning a retreat, the cancellation policy for Brain Based EMDR Basic Training Retreats is different than the cancellation policy for our in person & virtual events.

Participant Agreement

In this training you will learn the EMDR core concepts originally developed by Francine Shapiro and so much more!

Resilience Reinforcing EMDR is not just trauma informed, it's trauma responsive, and creates a deeper understanding of the neuroscience of EMDR so that trainees can share the brain science of EMDR with their clients!

The training provides you with a wide variety of approaches for preparing your clients for EMDR, and shows you how to build your clients' resilience in the process!

Resilience Reinforcing EMDR will teach you to facilitate real change in how your clients think, feel and behave.

It will totally change your practice and how you treat things like trauma, anxiety and depression.

You'll also appreciate the way Resilience Reinforcing EMDR shows you how to integrate EMDR with other modalities including parts work, and somatic approaches.

Please make sure you have read and understand this agreement in its entirety. If you have any questions or concerns please contact [email protected].

Also included in the training cost, is the required 10 hours of consultation, so that you may receive support as you begin implementing EMDR in your clinical practice after the classroom portion of your training.

In order to complete the classroom portion of the training, and receive continuing education credits, you must be present for and participate in all parts of the lecture and practicum, in addition to submitting all required administrative documents, no partial credit will be awarded. For this reason, please ensure that you protect your training dates on your calendar so as to avoid any potential scheduling conflicts.

For virtual trainings, a private, quiet, space to conduct your training and practice in is required, you will also need to be online with your video on for the entire training.

In the event you miss any parts of the lecture or practicum you will be unable to complete the training and will be required to transfer to another scheduled training within 12 months of your training start date. You may be required to pay an administrative fee for this type of transfer.

Time Frame For Completion of EMDR Basic Training

You will be required to complete the 10 hours of consultation within 365 days, or one year, from the start date of your EMDR Basic Training in order to receive your final certificate of completion. You will receive instructions on how to register and access your consultation hours during the training and on the course site.

Please note: You will be considered financially responsible for consultation fees that occur as a result of late cancellations or no-shows.

Required Reading

All other required and supplemental materials for the course will be available for download on your course website. You will receive access and instructions on how to log in to the course site once you’ve completed your registration.

Additional list of required reading:

• Go With That Magazine Fall 2020, Volume 25, Issue 3 [EMDR & Racial Trauma]

• Guidelines for Virtual EMDR Therapy (Spring 2020)

As a part of your Basic EMDR Training you will be doing and receiving EMDR therapy, with the guidance and support of trainers and coaches. You will be expected to work on real material and you will have full discretion over what you chose to disclose and work on during the training.

Because the focus in the training is on practice of protocols and interventions, we recommend working on material that is more mild to moderate in nature and to avoid working on highly charged material.

Please note: Due to the type of material covered in the training and to the nature of EMDR processing, there is a possibility that this training may trigger for participants, known or unknown traumatic material. If you are interested in participating in a Basic EMDR Training, and have a trauma history, diagnoses,  symptoms, or anything else that causes you to be concerned about your ability to participate in the required practicum please contact [email protected] before completing your registration so we can work together to determine if this training is a good fit and how we can best support you.
